This 27th annual event will again be “Live Virtual” (but you have an alternative option to order the recorded sessions instead).
We are moving away from a research focus to a more practical coverage regarding working with families that experience
reproductive decisions, and periartum complicated by diabetes.
We recognize that in present national maternity care the unfortunate reality of Maternity Care Desserts exists.
Women with complex needs may have poor access to care and a greater risk of absent specialized care.
The necessity for a coordinated team approach starting with knowledge of guidelines to care and alertness to signs
of challenges and resources to meet specialized care needs are obvious. The goal of this year’s conference is
to provide broader access to guidelines of care and the available resources.
Topics to be discussed in our conference:
Comorbidities, Glucose Monitoring, CGM, Insulin Pump use, MNT, Medication Management,
Targeted glucose control, Importance of sleep, L&D and Birth Care, , Newborn Care, and Post Partum follow up.
