This 28th annual event will provide greater flexibility for attendance and a broader agenda. We are partnering with Preeclampsia Foundation and expanded our expert speaker list, thus the three days. We recognize that in present national maternity care the unfortunate reality of Maternity Care Desserts exists.
Women with complex needs may have poor access to care and a greater risk of absent specialized care.
The necessity for a coordinated team approach starting with knowledge of guidelines to care and alertness to signs
of challenges and resources to meet specialized care needs are obvious. The goal of this year’s conference is
to provide broader access to guidelines of care for both complicating entities of pregnancy, and the available resources from both SSE and Preeclampsia Foundation.

Preconception Counseling, Motivational Interviewing, Psychological Components of Chronic Illness, Testing and Diagnosis Criteria for both Diabetes and Gestational Hypertensive Disorders, New Biomarkers for Preeclampsia and Their Use in Practice, Comorbidities, Increased Awareness for Signs and Symptoms, Glucose Monitoring, Use of CGM and Insulin infusion pumps, MNT, Medication Management for both disorders, Targeted glucose control, Importance of sleep, Planning Birth Care, Update on vaccinations in pregnancy, Newborn Care, and Immediate Post Partum follow up and Beyond Pregnancy Health.
