Right Now Nursing CEs, LLC (RNNCEs) announces the addition of Sweet Success Express (SSE)
to its list of educational venues regarding Maternity/Newborn care.
Sweet Success Extension Program (SSEP) was a 501(c) (3) nonprofit corporation which closed December 31, 2021. Their goal to promote Diabetes and Pregnancy guidelines through education, continues with SSE. Teaching guidelines remain based on the CA Sweet Success Model of Care by making it available and accessible to diabetes and pregnancy programs nationwide. This model of care remains the leading authority in diabetes and pregnancy guidelines and has been successfully implemented in various settings including managed care, primary care, clinics, offices, medical centers and hospitals at all levels of care in numerous states, and at Indian Health Service facilities.
SSE will continue to provide conferences and support services for health care providers nationwide.
This 29th annual event will again be “Live Virtual”
with the option to watch “live” or recorded. You may also hybrid the offering.
The conference will again use the expanded format this year, continuing the partnership of
Preeclampsia Foundation with Sweet Success Express.
Please join us for “Improving Diabetes and Hypertensive
Care and Outcomes in Pregnancy”
This year’s conference is again expanded. We welcome the Preeclampsia Foundation as an educational partner. Our hope is to expand recognition of the work of each of our groups to a broader audience. My work in Sweet Success Express (SSE) and with Professional Education Center (PEC) brought me into connection with Preeclampsia Foundation and their founder, Eleni Tsigas, many years ago. I have marveled at their work and expansion and know that we have the shared goal of improving women’s and family health by providing education to both professionals and patients. In addition, I speak for the planning group here,
Both groups recognize that diabetes and hypertension are “silent partners” in vascular pathology. They separately, and often together, add comorbidity to pregnancy and lifelong implications for altered health. As practitioners you often address issues from both, so we hope to streamline your workthat with expanded knowledge of both entities.
Our collective practical approach to guidance and consideration of individual needs, saves lives and promotes healthy living. Components of treatment must take into consideration each family’s knowledge deficit(s); teaching needs and styles of learning; demonstration needs; telecommunication resources; extra testing, time, and expense; needed life-style changes;
motivation and mastery assessment and guidance.
